Nivalis Nights on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2

Nivalis Nights has not been announced for Switch or Switch 2. The studio’s only word that covers Nintendo is its general console answer: PC first, other platforms being looked into.

Nintendo Switch and Switch 2: Being looked into

“PC is our main focus at the moment, but we are looking into other platforms.”

No Nintendo console has been named. PC comes first, and other platforms are being looked at.

What the answer covers

The answer is about consoles in general. It does not name Nintendo, Switch or Switch 2, and gives no order in which platforms are being considered. It neither rules the Switch family in nor out: nothing has been promised.

Before the rename the studio framed the plan the same way: “Right now, we’re working towards launching on PC (Steam and Epic Games).” The list has not grown to include a console since.

What a real announcement would look like

  • A Nintendo eShop listing, or the studio naming a Nintendo console.
  • A Switch logo added to the platform line on the publisher’s page, which lists Steam and Epic only.
  • A Steam announcement or a post on the studio’s social channels naming the console.

Those channels are the game’s own accounts on X, Instagram and Facebook, the publisher’s product page, the Steam news feed and the ION LANDS server on Discord. All of them are gathered on the developer page, and the platform board sets the Switch row beside every other platform.

A listing on a third-party key site, or a rumour of an eShop page, is not an announcement. The console answer above stands until one of these channels says otherwise.

Playing on a handheld now

If portable play is what you want, the Steam Deck is the other question. Valve has not yet rated the game for Steam Deck, and the studio says it is exploring handheld devices; the Steam Deck page has the detail.
