Does Nivalis Nights use AI?
The Steam store page for Nivalis Nights carries no AI-generated content disclosure. It does not say AI was used, and it does not promise that no AI tool was used anywhere in making the game.

What the disclosure is, and what its absence means
Games on Steam can carry a section headed AI Generated Content Disclosure, written by the developer. The Nivalis Nights page has no such section. Read it as “nothing disclosed”, which is narrower than “nothing used”.
No AI use is disclosed for art, writing, voices or code.
Who made the art, voices and music
Questions about AI in games usually come down to these three. None of the lines below is a statement about AI; they describe people doing the work.
| Part | What the studio said |
|---|---|
| Art and city | On the voxel city and its levels of detail: “A huge amount of credit goes to the art team for making this possible.” |
| Voices | Voice work in English is being recorded for all characters. Casting is covered on the voice acting page. |
| Music | The score is sold as its own 54-track album on Steam; the soundtrack page names the composer. |
The “AI assistant” is a character
If you have read that the game has an AI in it, that probably comes from a hands-on preview of an early build. The writer wakes up in the starting apartment, moves the furniture around, and then goes out “at the behest of my AI assistant”.
That assistant lives inside the fiction and guides you out of your flat. It is a story feature and says nothing about whether generative AI was used to build the game. The studio has not said whether the assistant is still part of the opening at launch. The gameplay page covers the daily loop.
If that changes
Steam shows an AI disclosure as its own section on the store page, and this game has none today. The developer page lists the studio’s official channels.
