Nivalis Nights map and districts
The official tourist map of Nivalis Nights labels five places: Skyhigh Gardens, Meridian Market, Your Home, the Docks and Seaside Boardwalk. Beyond the map there are also Calypso Island, the industrial district and The Metro Hub.
How the map works
The city is split into large districts. Inside one you can walk anywhere, including into most of its businesses, and moving to another district means a loading screen. The skyline around them is partly scenery: you explore certain districts freely while “other parts of the world are background environments”. More places unlock as the story moves on, so the map at launch is a starting set. Whether that counts as open world is on the open world page.
Every named place

A truly distinctive district of well-tended hanging gardens and picturesque views above the city.
ION LANDS
Seaside Boardwalk “blends peaceful seaside views with crowded streets and bustling businesses”, and comes with a warning: “you can’t call the police here”.
What about midtown?
Early reports of the game said you could “rent a new apartment in midtown”. Midtown is not on the city map or in any list of districts, so whether it is a district name is unconfirmed.
Not announced yet
A complete list of districts, their sizes, and which ones open later in the story. Where each business type and each home can be found is also still to come; apartments and businesses have what is known so far.
