Is Nivalis Nights coming to PS5?

Not announced. Nivalis Nights launches on Windows PC through Steam, and the studio has named no PlayStation version. Its answer on every console is the same: PC comes first and other platforms are being looked into.

PC comes first and other platforms are under review. DualSense support on Steam is a PC controller feature, not a PS5 version.

What would change it

A PlayStation Store listing, or ION LANDS or 505 Games naming PS5.

Until then, any PS5 date or price you see elsewhere did not come from ION LANDS or 505 Games.

What “looking into” means for PS5

The studio is keeping the door open: no port is announced, and it has not said no. On macOS and Linux it says plainly that it is not exploring them, so the console answer is the looser of the two. The platform board puts both side by side.

The answer covers consoles as a group and does not single out PlayStation. When the studio says where the game will be sold, it names two PC stores: “Nivalis will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store.” Those two stores are the plan; consoles are a maybe.

Why the Steam page mentions DualSense

The Steam listing includes DualSense among its controller features, next to full controller support. That line is about the PC version: it tells you a PS5 pad plugged into or paired with your computer is recognised. A console release would come with its own PlayStation Store page, which is the first thing to look for.

The studio says the same about pads in general: “Yes, Nivalis Nights will feature full controller support.” So if you own a PS5 and a capable PC, the DualSense you already have is listed as a supported pad for the Steam version.

If you only have a PS5

  • The PC version is the only one with a launch date. Its four hardware tiers are on the system requirements checker.
  • If a handheld PC is an option for you, the Steam Deck page has Valve’s current rating.
  • Watch the studio’s Steam announcements and social channels, listed on the developer page.
