Is Nivalis Nights on GeForce NOW?

It is on the way. NVIDIA has put Nivalis Nights on its list of games coming to GeForce NOW this month, as a new Steam release. Once it appears in the GeForce NOW library, you can stream the Steam copy you own on devices that have no build of their own, Macs and Chromebooks included.

GeForce NOW status

Coming this month

On NVIDIA’s monthly list as a new Steam release. It is playable when it shows up in the GeForce NOW library, which may be on launch day or a little later.

What you need

  1. Own it on Steam. GeForce NOW does not sell games: “you need to own or purchase a game from one of the supported game stores before playing it on GeForce NOW.” The price page has the launch price and discount.
  2. Link your Steam account in GeForce NOW. Your Steam library is what the service checks.
  3. Look it up in the GeForce NOW library. The game unlocks on Steam at one moment worldwide (the release date page shows it on your clock); search the library after that to see whether streaming is live yet.

For a Mac or Linux machine this is the route to watch: the studio is not exploring native builds for either, and the Mac and Linux page has its answer. A Windows PC still needs to clear the requirements to run the game itself, which the requirements checker screens.

Free or paid membership

NVIDIA offers a free tier alongside its paid ones. The free tier plays short video messages while you wait in the queue; the paid tiers stream at higher performance. Owning the game on Steam is the same requirement on every tier.

What about the Epic version?

NVIDIA’s list names the Steam release. The Epic Games Store version comes later with no date, so whether GeForce NOW carries that one too is open until it exists.
