Is there a Nivalis Nights demo?

Not on Steam: the store page has no demo to download before launch. The one public hands-on build on record was an event demo in 2023, when the game was still called Nivalis, and nothing from it is downloadable.

Every public showing

  1. 2023, WASD. PCGamesN played the game “at WASD for the playable demo’s debut”. That is an in-person event build, not a public download.
  2. 2024, Taipei Game Show. The studio opened that year by “showcasing a glimpse of the game during the Taipei Game Show”. It has not said whether visitors could play it.
  3. 2026, Convergence Games Showcase. A broadcast plus a Steam event. The studio said “Nivalis Nights is part of the Steam event” and mentioned no demo.
  4. Steam Next Fest. The studio has not said the game took part in, or will join, a Next Fest.

What the event demo showed

PCGamesN played this early build, under the old name. Its preview describes:

  • waking up in an apartment, with furniture you can move, and an AI assistant guiding you outside;
  • running the noodle bar through tabbed menus for finances, stock and the menu, with hiring, firing and shifts;
  • laying out the dining area yourself, then heading to the docks to fish;
  • taxi rides between parts of the city shown as a cut-scene.

The launch build may differ. The gameplay page covers a day as the studio describes it now, and every official video is on the trailers page.

Is there a beta or playtest?

The studio has not announced a beta, a playtest or a Steam playtest sign-up. Content creators can join the 505 Games Creator Circle for news about previews.

The game launches as a finished release rather than through Early Access, so there is no paid test phase either. The early access page has the details, and the pre-order page covers what you can do on Steam before launch.
